INFRASTRUCTURE
COMPUTER LAB
The Computer Laboratory is well-resourced with the latest state-of-the-art hardware and a large repository of software which provides the students a platform to be future technocrats. The computing infrastructure was further strengthened with system upgrades and new regular acquisition. The college has fully air conditioned lab having around 50 pcs and printers, scanner, LCD projector etc.
All the systems in the lab are LAN connected. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled and provides high speed internet access 24 X 7 and multimedia facilities so that students can develop and sharpen their technical skills. Thus the lab is a complete amalgamation of learning and exploring and opens door to vast knowledge for computer geeks.
HOME SCIENCE LAB
Home Science is an important subject and is very popular among students nowadays because of its various career options and its serving nature.
Our Home Science Lab is huge, well equipped and well ventilated. Safety of our students is our main concern; for this Fire extinguisher is installed and First-Aid kit is also kept in the lab. It is equipped with basic facilities and equipments to conduct practicals of Cooking, Stitching, Home Management relevant to the curriculum.
The basic equipments such as gas burners, microwave oven, OTG oven, mixer grinder, refrigerator, induction plate, necessary cooking utensils and crockery items and many consumable items are the essential part of the Home Science Lab which are all available in the lab. The cooking and preparation slabs are made of granite and separate table is ear marked with raised platform to facilitate the teacher to explain and demonstrate the experiment which students have to perform. The Home Science Lab is also adorned with various pictures and charts related to Nutrition, Textile, Printing, Embroidery, Home Management etc.
DRAWING AND PAINTING LAB
Drawing, painting, sketching and sculpting help develop visual and spatial skills. Art education teaches how to interpret, criticize and use visual information. It allows students to express themselves. Studies show that there is a co-relation between art and other fields of achievement. Art enhances the fine and gross motor skills and refresh their minds. The drawing and painting lab is well-furnished with all types of tools and amenities which gives an exposure to young artists to explore their innate imaginations.
SCIENCE LABS
We provide technically advanced and well equipped labs of Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany. All labs are well-resourced with instruments required for UG & PG students.
PHYSICS LAB
We understand the need of state-of-the-art laboratory for physics with updated and calibrated equipments for inquisitive students who are willing to create new collective knowledge and foster the next generation of scientific leaders.
We harness the best of modern technology to support the intellectual curiosity of our students and faculty and to bestow best laboratory experience.
CHEMISTRY LAB
Laboratory experiments play a very important role in understanding the concepts of chemistry. Chemistry Lab in Aklank College is well equipped to execute the experiments as prescribed by the University of Kota in its curriculum.
The Chemistry Lab has variety of sophisticated instruments like distillation apparatus, Stalagmometer, Viscometer, Conductivity meter, Potentiometer, pH meter, UV-vis. Spectrophotometer (200-700 nm) along with other required glass wares, reagents and materials.
All the practicals performed in the labs are under the supervision of one faculty member and a lab attendant for assistance. Safety and security measures are in place and are readily available. Our laboratories with advanced equipments and facilities aid and stimulate our students for them to learn best with practical knowledge. It empowers them with better comprehension and moves their inquisitiveness in the correct direction.
ZOOLOGY LAB
Zoology lab is providing basic and advance knowledge about the animals by morphological, physiological and anatomical aspects (by dissection). It is helping the students of Biotechnology for better understanding of animal models which are used in this field
BOTANY LAB
Lab is well equipped and rich in all required plant material for better understanding of flora and plant diversity. Consumable plant materials of Algae, Fungi, Bryophytes, Pteridophytes, & Gymnosperms are replenished annually/ seasonally, so that material must be available to the students for the whole year as per curriculum requirement.
Our college has developed its own botanical garden maintained by experts in supervision of faculties. For the taxonomic studies of angiosperms college botanical garden provide fresh material seasonally.
More than that, different laboratory practical experiment are designed to learn more about the fundamentals principals of traditional botany to advance fields of botany i.e. biotechnology, molecular biology, genetic engineering, cytology and concepts of plant physiology etc.
LANGUAGE LAB
Language is an essential tool for expressing ideas, opinions, views, emotions etc. to guarantee an effective mode of communication internationally, English is the most accepted language to harness the communicative skill with advanced emerging technology. The language lab has become the need of the hour today as it benefits the students in various ways.
It enables the students to listen to model pronunciation or question / repeat / answer / record the same if required. He can listen to his own performance and compare the same with the model for self-assessment which is the key to fast learning. Effective guidance and individual attention from the teacher empower students to work at their own pace and privacy to speak and listen.
It helps students to cognize the language in a veritable content. And briefly, it enables the students to master the language with ease and flow. English Language has become essential in the lives of young people who aspire to advance their careers. The language laboratory plays an important role in language learning process as it is very helpful tool for practicing and assessing one’s speech.
GEOGRAPHY LAB
Geography is one of the most opted subjects among student community now a day since it is having more scope in the field of administration services.
Every year geographical surveys at some new places are organized for the students to acquaint them with geographic factors of the region and enlighten their knowledge about the subject.
There is a well-resourced Geography Lab in the campus with all the latest equipmentsand facilities.
LIBRARY
“Library is the focal point of the institution. The college has a well-resourced and furnished library with adequate number of books on subject of prescribed study, current topics, research, literature, and encyclopedia. The Library with its spacious reading room and reference section provides an atmosphere conducive to the exhilaration of mental discovery. Students are encouraged to become sagacious users of the library.Library of institute provides the books for year-long to the needy and poor students.”
AUDITORIUM
A large auditorium-cum-multipurpose hall is available for a variety of inter-college and intra-college activities. This helps the students to showcase their talents and build up their confidence. It has a seating capacity of over 450 people where all presentations, group discussions and all other cultural and academic events are organized.
PLAYGROUND
‘‘A sound mind lives ina sound body’. The students are given ample of opportunities to participate in different games and sports. College has vast playground for games. A physical education teacher takes care of the students’ participation in various games. All the sports equipment and material are providedto the students to bring out the other facet of their personality. Beyond the classroom the sports and games inculcate the social values, team work and other humanistic features essential for a good citizen of the nation.”
